Grün Berlin GmbH's Campus Stadt Natur offers comprehensive educational programmes on Berlin's urban nature in its parks. The offers include educational programmes, educational media and major events, educational trails, audio guides and projects in the parks of Grün Berlin GmbH. People of all ages can take part in, learn, experience and try things out in the green spaces.

Guiding principle and values
We are guided by the educational mission statement for a green and sustainable Berlin. Through our work, we want to make a valuable contribution to Berlin's sustainable development in harmony with many other active people.
Our services are based on respectful cooperation, characterised by tolerance and acceptance as well as diversity and respect for all ways of life. We attach great importance to our participants having a positive experience with our programmes and - just like us - enjoying and having fun in and with nature. In an inclusive society, it goes without saying that everyone should be able to take part in our programmes. We therefore develop barrier-free and low-barrier formats and improve them on an ongoing basis.
Target groups & learning locations
Our educational programmes are aimed at everyone. Children from school or daycare centres, families and adults are all invited to take part. We also welcome visits from educational professionals, students, people from the world of science and other specialised audiences. We also support and develop citizen science projects.
We see our green spaces and open spaces as extracurricular places of learning and facilitate and support educational processes in unique living and experiential spaces. Our educational work is orientated towards the thematic focus as well as the goals and projects in the parks of Grün Berlin GmbH.
Our tasks and goals
Our educational programmes enable meaningful experiences of nature in the midst of Berlin's urban nature. We awaken the enthusiasm of our participants and sensitise them to the topics: Experiencing nature & diversity, environment & sustainability, city & culture, further education & mediation.
We impart knowledge in a holistic and lively way, allowing it to be experienced through all the senses and absorbed on a cognitive and emotional level. This strengthens and reflects our understanding of our environment and its ecological interrelationships in an urban context. In this way, we promote the creative competence of our participants, bring them into dialogue and strengthen their personal responsibility and self-efficacy.
In this way, we make a valuable contribution to shaping an informed, decision-making knowledge society that actively supports the global sustainability goals.
Educational concepts
Our programme planning is very diverse in terms of methodology and content. We therefore draw on a variety of different educational concepts and approaches, such as environmental education, nature education, education for sustainable development, nature experience and many more. The focus of our programmes is the conscious experience of nature, which enables people to get to know it in a special way and thus forms the basis for a connection with nature and protective actions towards our environment.
Quality assurance
Quality development is an integral part of our work. Together with our co-operation partners, we continuously develop existing concepts and take current topics such as curriculum changes, environmental conditions and media trends into account. We evaluate our programmes and continuously incorporate suggestions for improvement. There is also an intensive exchange of experience and knowledge within the team. We regularly take part in further education and training programmes.
Co-operations and networks
Campus Stadt Natur networks with active people in the state of Berlin, as well as on a national and international level in the educational landscape and in the field of nature and the environment and relevant areas. We also maintain in-depth co-operations with partners from science, education, culture and society.
