The 60-hectare Kienbergpark, which was completed for the IGA Berlin 2017, takes its name from the 110-metre-high Kienberg. At its peak, the cloud grove, modelled on a floating cloud, offers a fantastic view of both the centre of Berlin and the Brandenburg cultural landscape.
At the edge of the Kienberg plateau is the ‘Wild World’ nature experience area, where children and young people can find a large, natural discovery space to play and run around in - without any play equipment or adults.
The new environmental education centre, which opened for the IGA, has created an ideal learning space at the foot of the Kienberg for shared experiences and real-life knowledge transfer. In addition, numerous nature conservation projects have found a home in the Kienbergpark, allowing visitors to experience the special nature of the site.
