Spreepark

Parks & experience areas

The new Spreepark is a new public park for all residents, Berliners and visitors to the city. The aim is to transform the old rides and relics of the past, rethink their use and harmoniously combine them with the themes of art, culture and nature.

In recent years, a rare mixture of indigenous and exotic flora and fauna has developed in the Spreepark. Biotopes have even been created in the artificial water areas, which are now home to endangered plant species. Large parts of the urban wilderness will be preserved in the future, cared for and carefully embedded in the new Spreepark in the Plänterwald nature reserve.
